Visa Information
All tourists traveling to Phuket and anywhere in Thailand must
possess a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond their intended
length of stay (Retirement visa requires at least 18 months
validity). Thailand has over 30 International Immigration Check
points, though most visitors to Phuket will clear immigration either
at Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi International Airport) or Phuket

For many tourists it is not necessary to apply for a visa beforehand
if you come from a country that is eligible for a Visa Exemption and
are not going to be in the country for more than 30 days. Other
tourists may be able to apply for a Visa on Arrival, which costs
1,000 baht and is valid for 15 days. For everyone else, and for
those wishing to stay longer in the country for purposes of tourism
or leisure should apply for a 60-day Tourist Visa from the Royal
Thai Embassy or consulate in the country where you reside.

Invitation Letters
1. The invitation letter will be issued after the successful
registration.
2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your
passport. Any differences between the name on your passport
and the name on your invitation letter or other
documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your
visa.
3. Please note ICDPA Conferences and the organizing
committee of the conference are not authorized to assist
with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of
Invitation Letter issued by ICDPA Conferences and conference
Committee Board. Should your application be denied, ICDPA
Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference
cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, nor will ICDPA Conferences and the organizing
committee of the conference engage in discussion or
correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the
applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the
VISA application of individual being denied.
4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the
VISA application, please register as early as you can to
make sure you have enough time.
